Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort & Spa Invites Meeting Planners to Celebrate its 10th Anniversary



Resort to offer Complimentary Airfare and Cultural Activities for Meeting Planners in 2011!

The Pueblo of Santa Ana - (January 5, 2010) – The Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort & Spa, located on the Santa Ana Pueblo between Santa Fe and Albuquerque in New Mexico, is offering a special meeting and planning package to celebrate the resort’s 10 year anniversary in 2011. The resort’s “Discover Meeting Experience” package includes round trip airfare for meeting planners to the property to experience the resort, take part in the cultural activities included in the package, and view the resort’s multiple meeting facilities.

“To celebrate the Hyatt Regency Tamaya’s much anticipated 10 year anniversary, we want to extend a great package deal to meeting planners who are new to the resort and plan to book an event in 2011. We frequently receive feedback from meeting professionals who say that the resort is a “special place” and we want to help even more meeting planners and coordinators discover our beautiful property and experience all it has to offer,” said Steve DeFelice, director of sales and marketing at the Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort & Spa. “Not only will the ‘Discover Meeting Experience’ package provide meeting planners with a complimentary visit to the resort prior to booking an event, it will help the planners to organize a cultural and memorable experience for meeting attendees.”

The “Discover Meeting Experience” package includes:
· Round trip airfare into Albuquerque International Sunport for meeting planner or person of organization’s choosing for bookings of 150 rooms or more
· A complimentary welcome reception with a culture activity such as a performance from Native American dancers, flute players, storytelling, theme music, and festive décor
· Complimentary general welcome session and cultural blessing
· One suite upgrade for every 50 rooms reserved at the set group rate
· Complimentary internet services
· One cultural VIP amenity per every 10 rooms booked for the meeting
· 100,000 Hyatt gold passport points

The Hyatt Regency Tamaya offers more than 21,000 square-feet of indoor function space including a grand ballroom, an executive boardroom and six meeting rooms that can be divided into multiple meeting areas. The resort also offers outdoor meeting accommodations in its House of the Hummingbird Garden and The Cottonwood Pavillion, an event area along the Rio Grande. In addition, the resort recently launched the “Meet and Be Green” program to encourage meeting planners to make “Green” choices for their meetings by recycling during the meeting, printing materials locally, minimizing use of disposable products, and more.

The “Discover Meeting Experience” is available on all new meetings at the resort booked between January 1, 2011 and August 31, 2011 and held before January 16, 2012. A minimum RFP requirements of 150 cumulative room nights for programs. Not all entries will qualify and resort must be able to accommodate your rate and space requirement. The resort is located at 1300 Tuyuna Trail on the Pueblo of Santa Ana.
